  3. 1848, during which he met Marx, and in 1863
  4. founded the General Association of German
  5. Workers (later the Social-Democratic Party).
  6. His publications include The Working Man's
  7. Programme 1862 and The Open Letter 1863. He
  8. was killed in a duel arising from a love
  9. affair.
